Job summary

px Group is seeking a Technical Safety Manager based in Stockton to lead critical safety activities across projects from concept through commissioning support. You will own HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL studies and hazardous area classification, and you will develop safety philosophies and design bases in collaboration with engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

Degree qualified Chemical, Process or Safety Engineer with significant process safety experience in design engineering, EPC or consultancy environments.
Chartered status, or working towards professional registration, is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL and hazardous area classification studies.
Develop and own the technical safety philosophies, design bases and specifications.
Lead fire and explosion assessments and consequence modelling.
Collaborate with Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines to identify hazards early and design safer plant.
Serve as senior technical interface with clients during design reviews, workshops and HAZOPs.
Provide technical assurance for project leads and engineers and interface with multidiscipline teams.
