Job summary

Russell Taylor Group in Ellesmere Port is seeking a Process Safety Technologist to lead major hazard risk management across upper-tier COMAH sites and act as a technical expert on HAZOP, LOPA and related studies. You will drive ALARP compliance and translate incident findings into practical improvements.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Chemical Engineering with COMAH process-safety experience and strong data-communication skills. Chartered status is advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar.
• Experience in process safety within COMAH environments.
• Involvement in HAZOP, LOPA or similar risk studies.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies.
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical data.
• Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels.
• Chartered status is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead major hazard risk management strategies across upper-tier COMAH sites.

• Ensure compliance while reducing risk to ALARP levels.
