Job summary

SSE is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join the Electrical & SCADA Team. You will oversee a portfolio of asset integrity projects from concept to delivery, ensuring safety, quality and value while coordinating across multiple sites in the UK.

The role requires strong engineering knowledge and stakeholder communication. Based in part in locations like Glasgow, you will manage budgets and resources, drive continuous improvement and mentor junior colleagues as part of a busy, regulated

Qualifications

• Minimum of an HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in electrical and/or control systems engineering, including HV operations.
• Experience in a project engineering environment with stakeholder relations.
• Strong technical capability and understanding of commercial impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset integrity projects across the full lifecycle to improve safety, reliability and efficiency of assets.
• Define project scope, priorities, plans and budgets, and manage performance and progress reporting.
• Coordinate with Electrical Integrity and SCADA Engineers to minimise downtime and optimise production.
• Ensure compliance with electrical/SCADA safety standards, regulatory requirements and SSER rules.
• Collaborate with operational teams, OEMs and contractors, sharing lessons learned and mentoring juniors.
• Contribute to multidiscipline scopes of work delivery.
