Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead asset integrity projects in the Electrical & SCADA team. The role involves delivering projects across full lifecycles, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and ensuring high-quality execution.

You will report to the Asset Integrity and Operations teams and contribute to continuous improvement. Base location options include Glasgow, with a 50% site presence required across specified locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum HND or equivalent in Electrical/Power/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in electrical and/or control systems engineering, including HV operations.
• Experience in a project engineering environment and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong technical capability with understanding of commercial impact.
• Experience with asset management frameworks and maintenance principles.
• Working knowledge of relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset integrity projects across the full lifecycle, improving safety, reliability and efficiency of assets.
• Define project scope, plans and budgets, and monitor performance and progress.
• Coordinate responses to site failures with Electrical Integrity and SCADA engineers.
• Ensure compliance with electrical and SCADA safety standards and SSER rules.
• Collaborate with operations, OEMs, contractors and stakeholders, sharing lessons learned.
• Deliver multidiscipline scopes of work and drive continuous improvement.
