Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Technical Project Manager in the Electrical & SCADA team to lead asset integrity projects and oversee scope, budgets and schedules. You will work across Asset Integrity and Operations, communicating technical details clearly to a broad range of stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have an HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems, strong project engineering experience and a solid grasp of asset management systems and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong technical capability with understanding of commercial impact of engineering activities and decisions.
• Experience in asset management frameworks and asset integrity management systems.
• Experience in electrical and/or control systems engineering including HV operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset integrity projects across full lifecycle, improving safety, reliability and efficiency of assets.
• Define project scope, priorities, plans and budgets and manage commercial performance.
• Coordinate responses to site failures with engineers to minimise downtime and optimise production.
• Ensure projects meet electrical and SCADA safety standards, regulatory requirements and QA expectations.
• Collaborate with operations, OEMs, contractors and stakeholders, sharing lessons learned and mentoring juniors.
• Deliver multidiscipline scopes of work in collaboration with teams.
