Job summary

SSE is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead asset integrity projects within our Electrical & SCADA Team, overseeing scope, budgets, reporting and quality assurance for a diverse portfolio.

You will work with operations, OEMs and contractors to minimize downtime, ensure safety compliance and drive continuous improvement while mentoring junior colleagues across multidiscipline scopes.

Qualifications

• HND or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic/Power Systems engineering.
• Experience in electrical/control systems engineering in an operations & maintenance environment.
• Project engineering experience with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness of engineering activities.
• Familiarity with asset management and maintenance principles.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset integrity projects across full lifecycle.
• Define scope, plans and budgets; monitor performance.
• Coordinate responses to site failures with Electrical Integrity/SCADA engineers.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with operations, OEMs, contractors and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior colleagues and deliver multidiscipline scopes.
