We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Motor Underwriter to be part of the UK Commercial Solutions Team, supporting our trading teams to develop and implement solutions for complex cases and risk profiles.

This role is ideal for someone with high underwriting authority aiming to enhance their knowledge and segment expertise, maximizing opportunities through market-leading propositions and solutions for individual cases and business blocks, in collaboration with the Trading and Broker Performance Team.

About the job:

• Assist with Underwriting Strategy, principles, best practices, and processes.
• Lead the development of open market propositions for the Mid-Market commercial segment.
• Develop and lead a strong Commercial Motor Underwriting capability across trading teams.
• Monitor performance of the Mid Market Commercial Motor Segment to support SME Planning & performance, linking with the CUO Team.
• Build expertise and knowledge within the Commercial Motor Sector.

Skills and experience required:

• Experienced Commercial Motor Underwriter with high underwriting authority, seeking to expand knowledge across Property and Liability classes to complement Commercial Motor underwriting expertise.
• Understanding of performance issues at the Commercial Segment level for Mid-Market, Scheme, & Small Commercial Business to inform actions and identify opportunities or threats.
• Strong commercial acumen to develop and deliver business cases.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills within a large organization.
• Good knowledge of risk management applicable to the Commercial Motor Segment in Mid-Market.
