We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Motor Underwriter to be part of the UK Commercial Solutions Team, supporting our trading teams to develop and implement solutions for complex cases and risk profiles.

This role is ideal for someone with high underwriting authority looking to enhance their knowledge and segment specialisms, maximizing opportunities through market-leading propositions and solutions for individual cases and business blocks, working closely with the Trading and Broker Performance Team.

About the job:

• Assist with the Underwriting Strategy, principles, best practices, and processes.
• Lead the development of open market propositions for commercial Mid-Market.
• Develop and lead strong Commercial Motor Underwriting capabilities across trading teams.
• Maintain knowledge and insight into the performance of the Mid Market Commercial Motor Segment to support SME Planning and performance, linking to the CUO Team.
• Develop expertise across the Commercial Motor Sector.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Experienced Commercial Motor Underwriter with high underwriting authority, eager to develop knowledge and authority across Property and Liability Classes, complementing Commercial Motor Underwriting expertise.
• Understanding of performance issues at the Commercial Segment level for Mid-Market, Scheme, and Small Commercial Business to guide actions and identify opportunities or threats.
• Strong commercial acumen to build and deliver business cases.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills within a large organization.
• Good knowledge of risk management and its application across the Commercial Motor Segment within Mid-Market.
