Job summary

Persimmon is seeking a Technical Manager to join the Technical Team, reporting to the Technical Director. The role coordinates all technical information across building design, highways, drainage, utilities and sustainability from inception to completion, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and strong external relationships.

You will mentor junior team members, review drawings, and liaise with NHBC/LABC and local authorities to discharge conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a residential developer environment.
• Ability to produce viability and detailed planning layouts for submission.
• Understanding of building regulations and technical processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical information across Building Design, Highways, Drainage, Utilities and Sustainability from inception to completion.
• Review and approve drawings; manage external consultants to maintain timelines and budgets.
• Monitor planning condition discharge and liaise with statutory authorities to ensure compliance.
• Prepare conveyance and legal plans; monitor technical specifications for sales progress.
• Provide CAD support for projects and deputise for the Manager as required.
