Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a Technical Manager for a major residential development in South Wimbledon. You will own the technical delivery from design through to completion, ensuring regulatory compliance, safety standards, and timely progression of construction works.

Candidates should have extensive residential project experience, a solid grasp of HRBs and Building Safety requirements, and a proven track record coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Manager in residential development.
• Strong knowledge of High-Risk Buildings (HRBs) and Building Safety requirements.
• Experience managing external consultants and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical design process across a large residential scheme.
• Coordinate architects, consultants, engineers, subcontractors and local authorities.
• Lead discharge of planning conditions and statutory approvals.
• Ensure compliance with Building Safety Act and Gateway process requirements.
• Manage information flow and technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings for buildability and compliance.
• Support site teams with technical queries during construction.
• Drive programme, quality and commercial objectives through effective technical management.
