Job summary

Alpha Technical Recruitment is seeking a Technical Manager with a housing construction background to lead the technical delivery of several residential developments. You will manage projects from planning through to construction, coordinating architects, engineers and other design teams.

The role requires excellent technical knowledge of residential construction, strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Managing the technical delivery of multiple residential developments

• Identifying and resolving technical issues throughout the construction process

• Managing design programmes and ensuring information is issued on time
• Supporting the delivery of high-quality homes in line with company standards

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Manager to join their team and take responsibility for the technical delivery of a number of residential developments.

The successful candidate will manage projects from pre-acquisition and planning through to construction and completion, working closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors and external stakeholders.

The Role

• Managing the technical delivery of multiple residential developments
• Coordinating architects, engineers, consultants and other design teams
• Reviewing and managing technical drawings, specifications and design information
• Supporting the planning, pre-construction and procurement process
• Ensuring designs are technically compliant, buildable and commercially viable
• Identifying and resolving technical issues throughout the construction process
• Working closely with Construction, Commercial and Development teams
• Managing design programmes and ensuring information is issued on time
• Supporting the delivery of high-quality homes in line with company standards

About You

We are looking for a technically strong Technical Manager with experience within residential development or house building.

You will ideally have:

• Strong technical knowledge of residential construction
• Experience managing consultants and design teams
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• A commercially aware and proactive approach
