Job summary
Brett Group is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to oversee the Brett Concrete Technical Department across the South East plants. You will manage test rates, design concretes and operate software systems, reporting to the Technical Director.
Key responsibilities include auditing plants, cost control, and promoting safety and competence among technical staff. Knowledge of environmental standards and the QSRMC is beneficial, with opportunities for development and progression within the
Qualifications
- Experience in ready mixed concrete design, production, testing and control is essential.
- Qualifications in concrete technology or a construction-related subject.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Commitment to Health and Safety practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Investigate complaints and liaise with customers to resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct internal audits of batching plants.
- Control company costs.
- Lead health and safety discussions and promote staff competence.
- Communicate with Brett Concrete team members and external customers.
- Knowledge of environmental and sustainability standards and the Concrete Quality Scheme.
