Job summary

Brett is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee site operations across the UK. The role focuses on preventing accidents, ensuring legal compliance, and maintaining plant and equipment to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Strong SHE leadership and knowledge of Health and Safety legislation & Quarry Regulations.
• Knowledge of waste management controls and recycling legislation.
• Knowledge of production plants and mobile plants.
• Good contractor management.
• Financial acumen to manage budgets and use management accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of site operations to prevent accidents, incidents and risks to health as far as reasonably practicable.
• Ensure site is compliant with SHE requirements, policies, licence conditions and legislation.
• Inspect and maintain plant and equipment to high standards including housekeeping.
• Support safe, efficient projects within budget and time scope.
• Control costs and monitor site production against budgets; deliver cost improvements via KPIs.
• Minimise environmental impacts and conduct performance reviews.
• Manage site staff, conduct PDRs and ensure training.
• Handle personnel issues in line with company policies.
• Engage with customers face-to-face and via phone, maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
