Job summary

Brett Aggregates is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to oversee the Brett Concrete Technical Department across plants in the South East. The role reports to the Technical Director and involves designing concretes, operating Cusum, controlling test rates, and running software systems.

Candidates should have ready-mixed concrete design/production experience, a concrete technology qualification, and a valid UK driving licence. Health and safety leadership is essential.

• Right to work in the UK and full UK driving licence.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Manager to carry out the various functions forthe Brett Concrete Technical Department, covering all of our plants based in the South East. Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for tasks such as the operation of Cusum, controlling test rates, designing concretes and operating software systems.

About Your Role

• Investigating complaints, liaising with internal and external customers to assist with establishing a conclusion in a timely manner.
• Internal auditing of the concrete batching plants.
• Controlling company costs.
• There will be a requirement to carry out health and safety discussions and promote competence of technical staff.
• Communicating with other Brett Concrete team members, external customers and other Brett Group company staff.
• Knowledge of environmental, responsible sourcing and sustainability standards and processes would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of the Quality Scheme for Ready Mixed Concrete.

We're Looking For
