Job summary

Brett Group is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead site operations across multiple sites in the UK. You will drive safety, regulatory compliance, budget control and performance improvements while coordinating with customers and staff to deliver on time and within cost.

In this role you will oversee plant and equipment maintenance, manage supplier and contractor relationships, and enforce company procedures to uphold high standards of quality and service.

Qualifications

• Strong SHE leadership and knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
• Knowledge of waste management and recycling legislation.
• Experience with production plants and mobile plants.
• Experience managing contractors.
• Financial skills to work within budgets and use management accounts.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Customer-focused with professional relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of site operations to prevent accidents and risks.
• Ensure plant/equipment is inspected and maintained to a good standard.
• Manage projects safely, efficiently and within budget and time scope.
• Control costs and monitor site production; report variances.
• Engage with customers face to face and by phone; maintain confidentiality.
• Develop and enforce site procedures; uphold regulatory compliance.
• Oversee transport to meet demand and maximise utilisation and profit.
• Lead staff performance reviews and training; handle personnel issues.
