Bristol City Council is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead the Accessible Homes and TEC Hub, delivering home adaptations across public and private sector housing.

You will oversee a multidisciplinary team, provide expert technical advice, manage contractor performance and ensure safe, high-quality adaptations within budget and timescales. Hybrid working options are available and a supportive, values-driven environment is offered.

Formación

• Strong construction, building, surveying, housing or property expertise.
• Experience leading and developing technical staff.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, compliance and health and safety.
• Experience managing contractors, quality and performance.
• Excellent judgement, communication and partnership-working skills.
• Commitment to inclusive leadership and continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee technical standards, contractor performance and quality assurance.
• Provide expert technical advice and support for complex cases.
• Ensure adaptations are delivered safely to a high standard and within budget.
• Collaborate with caseworkers, occupational therapists and others across Adult Social Care and Housing.
• Lead and develop the technical team to deliver adaptations across public and private sector homes.
