Bristol City Council is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager - Disabled Adaptations to lead the delivery of home adaptations for disabled residents in Bristol. You will manage contractor performance, ensure contract compliance, and work with surveyors and caseworkers to shape service delivery.

The role combines strategic contract management with hands-on surveying and occasional frontline delivery. It offers hybrid working, generous leave and professional development opportunities.

Formación

• Experience of contract and contractor management within a housing, property maintenance, adaptations or construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, contract management and supplier performance.
• Experience of monitoring performance through KPIs, service reviews and data analysis.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements within construction and property-related services.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to balance strategic thinking with practical problem-solving.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused services that achieve positive outcomes for residents.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the management and development of contracts that deliver home adaptations for disabled residents.
• Manage contractor and supplier performance; ensure compliance; monitor quality and value for money.
• Lead regular performance review meetings; monitor KPIs, review customer feedback and service data.
• Support future procurement activity for adaptation services across the city.
• Carry a small technical caseload and undertake surveying activities as required.
• Line manage the Quality and Compliance Surveyor and maintain high workmanship standards.
