Location: Home based - with daily travel in and around Newcastle under Lyme

The vacancy

Job Title: Technical Maintenance Surveyor *2 (Home Maintenance Service including repairs and voids)

Base Location: Home working, with the requirement to visit Aspire sites in and around the Newcastle under Lyme Borough areas daily.

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £40,703 plus £2,140.80 car allowance per year

Interviews: Ongoing, commencing 3rd/4th/6th June 2025

We are undergoing an exciting transformation at Aspire Housing. We are introducing new Technical Maintenance Surveyors to support our Responsive Repairs and Void teams, aligning with our 2025 corporate plan and values, emphasizing customer-centric service and getting the job right first time.

Your role
  1. Support the Home Maintenance Service Operations Manager by carrying out surveys and property inspections within repairs and voids, in accordance with current legislation.
  2. Inspect, specify, and diagnose works in a construction-related environment, utilizing Nat fed 8 rates.
  3. Scope works, materials, and plant required, ensuring value for money and quality service for customers.
  4. Oversee subcontracted repairs, ensuring completion meets Aspire standards and timeframes, demonstrating professionalism and a right-first-time approach.
  5. Support the Home Maintenance Team to reach their full potential.
