Join to apply for the Technical Maintenance Support Engineer role at Siemens.

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Maintenance Support Engineer to join our Siemens Customer Services (Rail Infrastructure) team. Working as part of a dedicated front-line support team, this role involves working closely with the customer to provide support, advice, system fixes, and enhancements to installed Siemens Signalling and Telecoms systems on the Elizabeth Line.

You will initially be based at our customer premises in Romford RCC, London, as part of a rostered 24/7 support team. The role location may vary over time based on contractual and engineering support needs.

Responsibilities include:
  • 1st and 2nd line fault investigation to resolve issues or advise customer technical officers for corrective maintenance
  • Providing 3rd line telephone support to customers regarding relevant technology for fault rectification
  • Analyzing logs for fault and incident investigations and reporting findings to clients
  • Responding to formal technical questions from clients
  • Identifying opportunities to add value to customer services
  • Performing system health checks and shift reporting to the Customer Service Maintenance Manager
Qualifications and skills:
  • Must hold either Testing or Maintenance IRSE licence
  • Experience in 1st line corrective maintenance or testing (rail signalling assets or similar preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with technical personnel and customers at various levels
  • Current and valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) card
  • Experience with Traffic Management systems and/or Railway Operation display systems
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems, including communications networks
