Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Technical Lead to join the Reconciliations team and help ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and cash movements across merchant payments and settlements.

You’ll own end-to-end reconciliation processes and support incident management in a fast-paced payments environment. The role requires strong analytical and accounting knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while coordinating with internal stakeholders to

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for complex queries, taking ownership through investigation, resolution, and stakeholder communication.
• Support incident management activities and ensure effective communication during major incidents.
• Complete daily data uploads and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Prepare, review, and validate journal entries in accordance with financial control requirements.
• Perform root-cause analysis on reconciliation discrepancies and provide accurate management information and reporting.
• Investigate and resolve aged outstanding items, partnering with stakeholders to drive timely resolution.
• Execute daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations and quality assurance checks in line with SOX compliance standards.
• Manage month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and ARCS submissions.
• Produce monthly aged break reviews, reports, and operational performance updates.
• Take ownership of audit-related activities, ensuring actions are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and small-scale projects to enhance efficiency, controls, and service delivery.
• Maintain training and accreditation records, ensuring team compliance and capability development.
• Deliver training, coaching, and knowledge transfer to team members, supporting ongoing development and process excellence.

About The Team

Join our Reconciliations team and help ensure the accuracy of Worldpay's financial transactions and cash movements. You'll be responsible for reconciling merchant payments, card scheme settlements, and domestic and international bank accounts, ensuring all accounts are accurately verified and compliant with internal policies.

The team team ownership of investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies, manage exception processes, and produce MI reporting to support business performance.
