Job summary

Worldpay in Manchester is seeking an Accountant II to join the Scheme Reconciliations team and help drive accurate financial reporting for our business partners.

You will perform reconciliations, validate and prepare journals, investigate queries, and produce MI to support performance. The role requires attention to detail, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with independence.

Qualifications

• Experience with reconciliations and journal processing.
• Clear communication across business areas and levels.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Reconciliations (NAP, Platform, WPAP) and journal validation.
• Prepare and approve journals including complex entries.
• Investigate complex queries and resolve issues.
• Produce reporting and MI to analyse performance.
• Prioritise workload to meet SLAs and KPIs.

What you’ll own as the Accountant II

• NAP, Platform and WPAP reconciliations
• Journal validation and approval of simple journals, preparation of complex journals
• Complex query investigation, resolution,
• Producing reporting and MI to analyse and drive team performance
• Prioritise workload effectively throughout the day to ensure the team meets all SLA’s and KPI’s

What You’ll Bring

• Previous Reconciliations experience
• Confident communicating at all levels – pro-active must have the confidence to approach other business areas for information needed.
• Analysis skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
