Job summary

Worldpay in Manchester is seeking a Technical Lead to join the Reconciliations team. You will own complex reconciliation processes, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with stakeholders to drive timely resolutions.

You will oversee journal entries, month-end close activities, and SOX-compliant controls, while identifying automation opportunities and leading small improvement projects. Training and knowledge transfer to team members are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and journal entries.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis proficiency.
• Knowledge of WPAP and Worldpay products.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for complex queries and coordinate resolutions.
• Support incident management and communicate during major incidents.
• Perform daily data uploads and identify automation opportunities.
• Prepare, review and validate journal entries per financial controls.
• Conduct reconciliations and provide management information.
• Lead month-end close activities, including reconciliations.
• Produce monthly MI and audit-related activity; drive improvements.
