Job summary

Oliver Valves Ltd in Knutsford is seeking an Internal Sales Engineer to act as the main contact for commercial and technical enquiries, guiding customers from initial inquiry through order processing.

You will manage enquiries, prepare quotations, provide technical and commercial support, and maintain CRM records. The role focuses on developing key accounts while ensuring margins meet expectations.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a technical or internal sales role within an industrial environment.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, organised approach.
• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• (Desirable) Valve, flow control, oil & gas or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as a central point of contact for commercial and technical enquiries from enquiry to order.
• Manage enquiries and prepare quotations aligned to customer requirements.
• Provide technical and commercial support to customers.
• Process orders and maintain CRM records of opportunities and interactions.
• Develop key accounts to increase enquiries and sales.
• Ensure margins meet company expectations and review customer terms.
