Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Band 3 Technical Instructor to support the Pulmonary Rehabilitation programme alongside Registered Nurse/Physiotherapist Specialists. You will assist in assessments, deliver exercise sessions, and provide education to patients, relatives and carers within your competency.

Under supervision, you will prioritise tasks, document clinical activity, and escalate concerns.

• Assist Service Users in using exercise equipment and complete walking tests.

Job description

As a Band 3 Technical Instructor, you will be required to support the Registered Nurse/Physiotherapist Specialists and Senior Technical Instructors in the overall delivery of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation programme.

Under the delegated supervision of the Registered Nurse/Physiotherapist Specialists and Senior Technical Instructors, you will assist in the assessment processes, delivery of exercise classes, deliver education sessions, and undertake reassessment/evaluation activities, providing explanation, support and advice to patients, relatives and carers, as appropriate within your competency.

You will be expected prioritise and organise yourself in order to complete delegated activities, meeting the needs of the patients and the service. You will be responsible for reporting clinical observations, escalating any concerns and documenting clinical activity that you undertake.
