Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Band 3 Technical Instructor to support Pulmonary Rehabilitation services. You will assist in assessments, deliver exercise classes, provide education, and help with reassessments within your competency.

The role involves prioritising tasks to meet patient and service needs. The post offers a full-time pattern (37.5 hours per week) at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, with a strong emphasis on patient care and multidisciplinary teamwork

Qualifications

Evidence of recent and appropriate study, training or personal development that supports good Literacy and Computer Skills
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in health and social care or similar area, or a willingness to undertake a relevant NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

Assist with supervision and support of service users at Pulmonary Rehabilitation Classes.
Provide encouragement to patients throughout the rehabilitation process.
Administer and support Pulmonary Rehabilitation services as directed by seniors.
Support delivery of exercise programmes for individuals or groups.
Set up and take down equipment and ensure cleanliness.
Assist service users in problem solving to improve independence.
Assess ability to safely use exercise equipment and document observations.
Complete standardised walking tests and patient assessments.
Assist patients with lifestyle and disease-specific questionnaires.
Monitor engagement on the digital PR tool.
