Job summary

Oadby Plastics is seeking a Technical Estimator to join our Leicestershire team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will support sales and production by preparing quotations for machined parts from drawings and customer requirements.

You'll calculate costs, produce CAD drawings, and ensure estimates are delivered on time, liaising with customers, sales and production. The role rewards precision, teamwork and opportunity to grow within a forward‑thinking plastics manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating within engineering/manufacturing.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Understanding of CNC routing, milling and machining processes.
• CAD experience and strong IT skills.

What You Will Be Doing

As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in supporting our sales and production teams by preparing accurate quotations for machined parts. Working from technical drawings and customer requirements, you'll calculate costs, produce CAD drawings and ensure estimates are delivered on time, helping to turn enquiries into successful orders.

What Are We Looking For

We're looking for an organised and detail focused individual with experience in estimating within an engineering or manufacturing environment. You'll have a good understanding of machining processes, be confident interpreting technical drawings and enjoy working collaboratively with different teams to deliver excellent results.
