As the Estimator, you will take ownership of the quotation process from initial enquiry through to final quotation. Working closely with Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing, you will assess technical requirements, determine the most efficient manufacturing route, calculate costs and produce accurate quotations within customer deadlines.
This is a varied role where no two enquiries are the same, requiring excellent technical understanding, commercial awareness and strong organisational skills.
The successful candidate will have previous estimating, engineering or manufacturing experience and be comfortable interpreting technical information while working to tight deadlines within a commercial environment.
You should have:
Previous experience in an Estimator, Cost Engineer or similar technical/commercial role.
Manufacturing or engineering industry experience.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
Excellent Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Experience working with CRM or ERP systems.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
A proactive and methodical approach to work.
