Job summary

Jobtailor is offering a two-year graduate programme designed to rotate through design and engineering activities across major infrastructure projects. You will work with strategic suppliers, define project requirements, and contribute to technical justifications while gaining exposure to national-scale projects.

You will complete multiple placements, receive mentoring, and develop skills across technical areas, with travel to sites and partner offices as needed.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in any discipline as listed.
  • Minimum 2:2 in the preferred degree disciplines.
  • Degree obtained within the last 3 years or currently being studied; must graduate by Sep 2027 for 2027 intake.
  • Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of design and engineering activities with strategic suppliers.
  • Support definition of project requirements, scope, assumptions, and basis of design.
  • Assist with technical justifications and evidence of project decisions.
  • Assist survey scope development and implementation.
  • Support technical assurance activities.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project management, site delivery, stakeholder, legal, planning, and consenting teams.
  • Complete different placements over the two-year graduate programme.
  • Gain exposure to technical activities supporting design and engineering of nationally significant infrastructure projects.
  • Receive structured development, mentoring, and hands-on experience across technical areas.
