Anglian Water is offering a Finance and Regulation Graduate Programme in the UK. The two-year development path includes structured placements across the organisation to help you balance affordability with environmental goals and long-term investment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2:2 degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Geography, Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Sciences, or related discipline.
  • Graduation expected by September 2027 for intake.
  • Curious, ambitious and ready to learn; enjoys solving problems collaboratively.
  • Interest in securing investment in vital infrastructure upgrades and passion for water industry.

Job description

  • Participate in Anglian Water's two-year Finance and Regulation Graduate Programme
  • Complete structured placements across the organisation
  • Support decisions balancing customer affordability, environmental ambition and long-term investment
  • Work on real projects influencing billions of pounds of investment in water services
  • Finance pathway: develop expertise in financial controls and accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investment appraisal and business planning
  • Assess financial performance and investment opportunities
  • Provide insights supporting key business decisions
  • Regulation pathway: understand economic regulation of a water company in practice
  • Connect government policy, regulatory frameworks, business planning and investment delivery
  • Contribute to major regulatory reform and the 2029 Price Review business plan
  • Develop analytical, commercial and leadership skills with support from colleagues and mentors
Requirements
  • Minimum 2:2 degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Geography, Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Sciences, or a closely related discipline
  • Must have obtained the degree within the last 3 years or be studying towards it and graduate by September 2027
  • Degree must be achieved by September 2027 for the 2027 intake
  • Curious, ambitious and ready to learn
  • Enjoy solving problems and working collaboratively
  • Interest in securing investment in vital infrastructure upgrades
  • Passion for the water industry
  • Flexibility to work across the Huntingdon area, Peterborough and the wider region/departments
  • Assessment Centre attendance in person
