Job summary

SLR Consulting seeks a Technical Director in Mine Waste Engineering to lead tailings and mine waste projects across the UK and Europe. You will manage projects from concept to construction and act as Engineer of Record, collaborating with a global, multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has extensive tailings experience, Chartered status or eligibility, and strong business development and advisory skills within a consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive depth of experience in tailings and mine waste engineering.
• Lead designer and project manager for tailings facilities.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary consulting environments.
• Registered Chartered Engineer or eligible to register.

Responsibilities

• Lead tailings and mine waste projects from concept to detailed design.
• Act as Engineer of Record and Designer of Record.
• Mentor teams and contribute to business development.
• Engage with clients and manage procurement and quality control.
