Job summary
SLR Consulting Ltd is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead tailings and mine waste design within the Mine Waste Team. You will manage projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, and progress toward Engineer of Record status while expanding the team’s capabilities across EU projects and beyond.
You will contribute to client relationships, develop new business opportunities, and lead high‑quality design work from concept through construction in a flexible, hybrid working
Qualifications
- Significant depth of experience in tailings and mine waste, preferably in consulting.
- Honours degree in Civil or Mining Engineering or MSc in related field.
- Registered Chartered Engineer or eligible to register immediately.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of tailings and mine waste facilities from concept to detailed design and construction.
- Manage own projects and support others in delivery of mine waste projects.
- Act as Engineer of Record or Deputy with progression to Engineer of Record.
- Collaborate with Mine Waste Engineering teams across regions to deliver projects.
- Develop business opportunities and grow the team’s technical capabilities.
