Job summary

NATS is seeking a Technical Designer to lead the Technology Solution Design for complex services and assets, ensuring alignment with Service Design governance. You will collaborate with Programme teams and Service Operations to shape architecture, evaluate changes, and produce engineering papers that forecast future improvements.

The role requires strong communication, leadership and an ability to work across multiple sites, including Prestwick, with agile working and optional remote

Qualifications

• The post holder must be highly motivated and able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Strong interpersonal and management skills with ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Ability to coordinate design decisions with Practice Managers and Service Delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Technical Design within the Service Design framework.
• Review High Level and Low-Level Designs and approve exceptions.
• Assess operational change impacts and escalate as needed.
• Produce engineering papers and predictive modelling for service improvement.
• Develop technology strategies with Service Owners and Enterprise Architects.
