NATS, the National Air Traffic Services, is seeking a Safety Engineer to join the Software Assurance team in Whiteley. The role supports the safe delivery of operational and project changes across complex air traffic management environments.

You will develop Software Assurance Plans and Reports, assess supplier capability, identify risks, and coordinate audits across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in STEM.
• Experience in software assurance for safety-critical systems.
• Knowledge of ED-153, ED-109A, IEC 61508 and related standards.

• Develop Software Assurance Plans, Reports and audit documentation.
• Assess supplier software assurance capability and perform capability assessments.
• Identify software development issues affecting performance or assurance and support mitigations.
• Ensure software assurance activities comply with standards and processes.
• Provide expert software assurance advice to stakeholders across teams.
• Develop assurance arguments and supporting evidence for programme changes.
• Plan and facilitate audits against software assurance standards.
• Coordinate safety and assurance work packages with scope, risk, resources and milestones.
