Job summary

Allstaff Manufacturing Division are seeking a Technical Administrator for a permanent role based in Whiteinch, Glasgow. The position is full-time, on-site, with hours Monday to Friday (8:00-16:00 or 9:00-17:00) and salary competitive based on experience.

You will support the design team to ensure product compliance to specifications and coordinate information from engineers and clients. Responsibilities include attending design meetings, preparing technical submissions and take-offs in Excel,

Qualifications

• Strong communication in English, both written and spoken.
• Analytical with high numeracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with data handling skills.
• Higher education in mathematics or technical subjects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specs, and building standards.
• Excellent client service and communication at all levels.
• Strong organisation and multitasking, able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Attend and contribute to design meetings with clients, architects, and contractors to provide technical support.
• Liaise with customers, architects and project managers to ensure installation and manufacturing details are understood.
• Ensure correct technical submissions and supporting data are issued.
• Build and develop product schedules in MS Excel incorporating product specifications and drawings.
• Integrate information from structural engineers into the product schedule.
• Produce manufacturing information and take-offs for production.
• Produce take-offs for sub-contract manufacture of components.
