Job Description
  • Handle a personal caseload of public liability injury/illness and quality claims from solicitors.
  • Investigate claims, assess liability and quantum, and seek to conclude those claims in accordance with the mandate provided by the relevant insurer.
  • Provide high-quality service to our insurer in line with applicable service levels, whilst also achieving individual targets in respect of claim settlements/disposals.
  • Work closely and effectively with key suppliers to ensure straightforward recovery of any unavoidable financial outlays.
  • Attend court when necessary to support Counsel and/or solicitors in fast and multi-track matters.
About You
  • Law Degree desirable but not essential; relevant experience within a claims handling environment is also acceptable.
  • Understanding of handling and investigating public liability claims brought by customers and solicitors.
  • Hard-working, self-motivated, and an agile team player, accustomed to heavy workloads and high-pressure situations.
  • Able to work independently across various environments.
  • Capable of managing a wide caseload, including fast-track and multi-track claims and sensitive queries.
  • Confident in dealing with stakeholders such as customers, insurers, lawyers, and courts.
  • Ability to monitor and improve personal performance against targets and objectives.
  • Excellent telephone manner and understanding of customer engagement importance.
  • Knowledge of the Package Holidays and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 is desirable.
