Location: London (with travel to client sites across the UK)

Role Overview

As Technical Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in the planning, logistics, and on-site execution of our events. You’ll work closely with the Head of Events and wider team to ensure all technical aspects of production run smoothly – from lighting and audio to staging and visuals. This is a hands-on role that requires strong project management skills, a good understanding of AV equipment, and a can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end technical production for events, from planning to de-rig
  • On-site setup and breakdown of AV equipment including lighting, screens, sound systems, and staging
  • Oversee logistics for equipment transportation and crew scheduling
  • Work closely with entertainers, clients, and venues to ensure seamless delivery
  • Conduct site visits and produce technical specifications for events
  • Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed during production
  • Liaise with suppliers and freelancers where required
  • Clean UK Driving Licence (ability to drive vans and transport kit to event sites)
  • Strong practical understanding of audio-visual equipment. (Sound desks, lighting rigs, screens, etc. Plus knowledge of industry software such as QLab.)
  • Proven experience in production/project management within events, theatre, or live entertainment
  • Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and think on your feet
  • Comfortable with hands-on work including lifting, rigging, and setting up technical gear
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Flexible schedule – availability for evening/weekend work as needed
  • A strong team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Experience in live performance or entertainment industry
  • Formal training or certifications in AV or technical production
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations and risk assessments
  • Familiarity with event planning software or project management tools
