Job description

About the role:

We currently have a great opportunity for a Technical Co-Ordinator to join our Network Asset Maintenance team in a Hybrid Position: 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring that the upfront design and coordination of work are in place to ensure our technicians and contracted partners have the prerequisites to start and complete our capital and planned maintenance programs as scheduled.

What you’ll be doing as the Technical Coordinator:

  1. Assisting with the delivery of health and safety for all team members and those working on the network.
  2. Helping the team deliver exceptional service to customers and maintaining their trust.
  3. Monitoring and suggesting improvements for the team’s budgetary and financial activities.
  4. Supporting the performance and delivery of proactive and reactive activities under the assigned contracts, ensuring suppliers meet expectations to achieve optimal performance.
  5. Motivating team members and developing action plans to foster pride and engagement.
  6. Managing upgrades, repairs, and replacements for network assets to ensure first-time successful operations.

Base Location: Hybrid Orpington (PS & Depot) - 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

Working Pattern: 36 hours, Monday to Friday.

All PPE and tools are provided.

What you should bring to the role:

  1. Strong skills in operations, maintenance, engineering, finance, H&S, stakeholder engagement, and customer focus.
  2. Experience coordinating teams of internal and external stakeholders to deliver key KPIs.
  3. Ability to work with the Contracts Manager and independently deliver work streams within SLAs.
  4. Competence in using company IT systems and office software, preferably GIS, Watercore, Waternet, Z-One, PI, SCADA, MS Teams.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. High attention to detail with the ability to report and track multiple projects.
  7. Proactive ownership of high-priority asset issues, complex cases, or SLA breaches to attain resolution.
