Position: Technical Coordinator

Working with a Residential Developer (Privately owned affordable housing provider).

Location: Leicester

4 days in office, 1 day remote.

Salary: Up to £55,000, based on experience.
Responsibilities:
  1. Attend Contract Launch meetings to agree on accountabilities.
  2. Appoint external consultants, review, and agree on the scope of works.
  3. Participate in internal project meetings to review key dates and timelines for obtaining information from external consultants.
  4. Ensure CDM information is provided by external consultants.
  5. Coordinate with building control and guarantee providers to address conditions or information requests.
  6. Handle service applications, including new service supplies and diversions, and attend site meetings as needed.
  7. Manage live site drawings, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest revisions and registers.
  8. Control information flow to enable the commercial team to obtain quotes and place orders according to the procurement schedule.
  9. Coordinate design team and subcontractors, ensuring timely delivery of information and drawings.
  10. Monitor the release of design information against the project schedule.
  11. Process design information and maintain drawing registers.
  12. Provide technical advice and liaise with external consultants for additional information or technical queries.
  13. Review designs and specifications for value engineering opportunities.
  14. Maintain development trackers and project-specific information records.
  15. Ensure planning conditions are closed out by the Architect before project handover.
  16. Review subcontractor design information, such as kitchen layouts, against contract documents, and coordinate client review.
  17. Assist the Design Manager in managing the construction design phase and ensuring CDM compliance.
  18. Attend client design review meetings, record queries, and ensure timely responses and actions.
  19. Secure client approvals for design items in line with the build schedule.
