Job summary

DCV Technologies is recruiting for an experienced SolarWinds Engineer / SolarWinds Technical Consultant to support a major enterprise IT infrastructure and observability improvement programme.

This six-month contract offers hands-on work with the SolarWinds Orion Platform, to enhance monitoring, alerting and visibility across a Windows, Linux and VMware environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on SolarWinds Orion Platform administration and configuration.
• Experience implementing and supporting SolarWinds monitoring solutions.
• Windows Server and Linux infrastructure administration.
• Infrastructure monitoring, event management, alerting and automation.
• Troubleshooting, incident management and root cause analysis.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise IT environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure and optimise the SolarWinds Orion monitoring platform.
• Design and implement infrastructure monitoring solutions across Windows and Linux servers.
• Onboard servers, network devices and applications into SolarWinds monitoring.
• Configure SolarWinds agents, alerts, events and monitoring thresholds.
• Troubleshoot monitoring incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Improve alert management, event correlation and monitoring automation.
• Support monitoring across VMware-based, on-premises infrastructure.
• Assist with ServiceNow integration, ITSM processes and CMDB alignment.
• Support observability improvements involving APM, DEM and Azure monitoring.
• Produce technical documentation and monitoring standards.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced SolarWinds Engineer / SolarWinds Technical Consultant to support a major enterprise IT infrastructure and observability improvement programme.

This six-month contract offers the opportunity to work hands-on with the SolarWinds Orion Platform, improving infrastructure monitoring, alerting, event management and operational visibility across a complex Windows Server, Linux and VMware environment.You will work alongside infrastructure, application support and IT service management teams to enhance monitoring capabilities, reduce outstanding technical work and improve service reliability.
