Job summary
DCV Technologies seeks an experienced SolarWinds Engineer / SolarWinds Technical Consultant for a six-month contract in Durrington, West Sussex. The role is hybrid, offering hands-on work with the SolarWinds Orion Platform to enhance infrastructure monitoring, alerting, event management and operational visibility across a complex Windows Server, Linux and VMware environment.
You will collaborate with infrastructure, application support and IT service management teams to improve monitoring
Qualifications
- Hands-on SolarWinds Orion Platform administration and configuration.
- Experience implementing and supporting SolarWinds monitoring solutions.
- Windows Server and Linux infrastructure administration.
- Monitoring, event management, alerting and automation.
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis in enterprise IT.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure and optimise the SolarWinds Orion platform.
- Design and implement monitoring across Windows and Linux servers.
- Onboard servers, network devices and applications into SolarWinds.
- Configure SolarWinds agents, alerts and thresholds.
- Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Improve alert management, event correlation and automation.
- Support VMware-based on-premises infrastructure monitoring.
- Assist with ServiceNow integration and ITSM processes.
- Support observability improvements including APM/DEM/Azure monitoring.
- Produce monitoring documentation and standards.
