Broaden Management Partners is seeking a Technical Claims Handler for a high-growth specialty MGA in Bristol. This hybrid role combines expert technical claims work with hands-on leadership, ensuring claims are handled accurately and in line with regulatory and insurer requirements.

You will mentor handlers, manage complex claims, authorize payments within delegated limits, and contribute to improvement of the claims operation.

Qualifikationen

• Significant, proven experience in insurance claims handling.
• Experience mentoring and coaching claims handlers.
• Experience with delegated authority frameworks and sign-offs.
• Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and Consumer Duty obligations.
• Proficient with modern claims management systems and reporting tools.

Aufgaben

• Own and manage complex, high-value or technically challenging claims from notification through final settlement.
• Act as the first-line referral point for policy coverage, liability, quantum and strategy.
• Review and approve decisions within delegated authority; conduct QA file reviews.
• Authorize claim payments within delegated limits while tracking reserves.
• Deliver technical coaching and assist onboarding of new claims colleagues.
• Track referrals and contribute to management reporting on claims trends.
