Job summary
Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Technical CAD Estimator in Cumbernauld, UK. The role focuses on design, costing and tender support for bespoke construction and technical installation projects, from concept through to delivery.
You will combine CAD drafting with commercial awareness, reviewing drawings and quotations to produce accurate estimates. The position is office-based with a competitive salary and opportunities for development.
Qualifications
- Experience in CAD design and estimating for construction/installation projects.
- Ability to review drawings, specs and tender docs to produce accurate estimates.
- Strong IT skills with Excel proficiency for cost take-offs.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D/3D CAD drawings.
- Create concept, construction, manufacturing and as-built drawings.
- Review drawings, specs and tender docs for estimates.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and detailed project cost estimates.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier Quotations.
- Support development of practical, commercially viable solutions.
- Maintain project, drawing and estimating records.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project delivery.
