Job summary

Cardiff Metropolitan University is Recruiting a Technical Business Analyst to join the Student Record System Programme, which will replace the current system with a cloud-based platform transforming the full student lifecycle. You will investigate technical processes, data flows and integration requirements, and evaluate options to meet university needs.

You will work with Integration Developers and solution architects to ensure requirements are technically sound, testable, and signed off

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in computing or related discipline
• Formal training in business analysis (BCS/ISEB/Lean) is essential
• Knowledge of UK higher education processes and cloud-based SaaS platforms would be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Investigate technical requirements, document them clearly and assess impacts and risks.
• Document 'as is' processes, data flows and configurations; define 'to be' state and system impacts.
• Define and document functional and non-functional requirements for solution design and configuration.
• Collaborate with Integration Developers and solution architects to ensure requirements are testable through design, build and UAT.
• Support business case development and benefits realisation; facilitate workshops and coordinate stakeholders.
