Cardiff Metropolitan University is replacing its Student Record System with a cloud-based platform. The Tester will design and execute test cases across SIT and UAT, validate data flows and ensure processes meet requirements before go-live.

You’ll work with the testing team, coordinate with analysts and developers, logging defects, retesting fixes and contributing to lessons learned after each phase. A degree in CS/IT and ISTQB are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and executing test scripts across SIT/UAT.
• Ability to convert requirements into clear test scripts with pass/fail criteria.
• Proven use of defect tracking and retesting to verify fixes.

Responsabilités

• Design and execute test cases across SIT, regression, integration and UAT.
• Analyse requirements and configuration docs to produce clear test scripts.
• Record results and maintain execution logs in a test tool.
• Log defects with detailed steps and evidence; retest fixes.
• Support test planning, data needs and risk flags; participate in stand‑ups.
