Job summary

Cardiff Metropolitan University is running the Student Record System Programme to replace the current system with a modern, cloud-based platform that will transform the management of the full student lifecycle.

The SRS Technical Business Analyst will investigate technical processes, data flows and integrations, analysing requirements and evaluating options to recommend solutions that meet the University’s needs.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in computing, information systems or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Formal training in business analysis (e.g. BCS, ISEB, Lean) is essential.
• Knowledge of UK higher education business processes and cloud-based SaaS platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Investigate technical processes, data flows and system configurations.
• Define and document functional and non-functional requirements for solution design and configuration.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure requirements are testable and sign-off through design, build and UAT.
• Support business case development and benefits realisation, and manage stakeholder engagement.
