Job summary

Macildowie Recruitment and Retention is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join its ecommerce team in Worcester. You will translate business needs into technical requirements, develop user stories and acceptance criteria, and map end-to-end processes to identify improvements.

You will test across checkout, payments, orders and subscriptions, and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar, ideally in ecommerce.
• Strong process mapping and requirements experience.
• Hands-on testing experience.
• Knowledge of ecommerce platforms, APIs, integrations, data flows and tools such as Postman.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and translating business requirements into clear technical requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Creating and improving end-to-end process maps; identifying inefficiencies, gaps and opportunities to improve; testing ecommerce functionality across areas including checkout, payments, orders and subscriptions.
• Supporting functional, integration, regression and API testing; investigating defects and seeing fixes through to resolution.
• Working with technical and non-technical stakeholders through to delivery.

Looking for a Technical BA role where you can actually make an impact?

• We're working with a fantastic business in the ecommerce sector that is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join its team.
• This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting under the skin of a business, understanding how technology and processes work, spotting where things can be improved and then seeing those changes through.
• You'll have real exposure across ecommerce, customer journeys, business processes, integrations and testing, working with teams across the business from initial requirements through to UAT and implementation.

What will you be doing?

• Gathering and translating business requirements into clear technical requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Creating and improving end-to-end process maps Identifying inefficiencies, gaps and opportunities to improve Testing ecommerce functionality across areas including checkout, payments, orders and subscriptions

What are we looking for?

• You'll have experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar, ideally within ecommerce or another transactional environment.
• You'll need strong process mapping and requirements experience, alongside hands-on testing experience.
• Knowledge of ecommerce platforms, APIs, integrations, data flows and tools such as Postman would be valuable.
• Most importantly, you'll be curious, analytical and practical, with the ability to get into the detail and take ownership.
