Job summary

Spencer Richardson is seeking a Business Technical Analyst to bridge business and technology across multisite locations in the UK. You will translate operational needs into technical requirements and help deliver technology projects, ensuring changes are well documented, tested and transitioned into BAU.

You will work with stakeholders to capture requirements, create specs, and support delivery while embedding new ways of working and driving operational efficiency through technology.

An established and fast-growing UK leisure and holiday business is looking for a Business Technical Analyst to help bridge the gap between business teams and technology as it continues to invest, evolve and grow.

Operating across multisitelocations nationwide, the organisation has an ambitious technology agenda and a growing IT function. The role

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, translating operational needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and helping deliver technology projects, system changes and improvements.

A key part of the role will be ensuring that solutions are not only delivered successfully, but are also properly configured, controlled, documented and transitioned into BAU.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering and documenting requirements through workshops, interviews and stakeholder sessions
  • Creating process maps, user stories and functional specifications
  • Working with developers, Product Owners and Project Managers to clarify scope and support delivery
  • Supporting configuration management, ensuring system changes and configurations are clearly understood, controlled and aligned to agreed requirements
  • Helping manage changes through testing, implementation and release
  • Supporting the transition of new systems, enhancements and changes into BAU
  • Ensuring appropriate documentation, handover and operational readiness are in place
  • Working with stakeholders to embed new ways of working and drive adoption
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency through technologySupporting change management with a focus on measurable business value and improved operational outcomes
Configuration Management & BAU Transition

You’ll play an important role in taking technology change from project delivery into day-to-day operation.

This will include:

  • Maintaining clarity around system configurations and approved changes
  • Ensuring delivered solutions remain aligned to agreed business requirements
  • Supporting testing, implementation and handover activities
  • Coordinating the documentation needed for ongoing support
  • Working with business and technical teams to resolve gaps ahead of go-live
  • Ensuring new solutions are embedded effectively into operational processes
  • Supporting a smooth handover from project teams into ongoing BAU ownership
The technology landscape

You’ll work across a varied portfolio of operational, people and customer-facing systems, including:

Azure DevOps – agile delivery, sprint planning and backlog management

ParcVu – core operational and booking management platform

Dayforce – HR, payroll and workforce management

Customer-facing digital platforms – including website and supporting integrations

Experience with ParcVu is not essential. Experience with other PMS platforms would be beneficial, and Azure DevOps, Jira or equivalent tools are all relevant.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Previous Business Analyst experience, particularly within a complex or multi-site organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across operational, technical and senior audiences
  • The ability to translate business requirements into clear technical requirements
  • Experience supporting system configuration, change control, implementation or BAU transition
  • An understanding of development workflows, digital platforms and business systems
  • A proactive, organised and collaborative approach
  • Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in improving how a business operates through technology
