Job summary

Our successful client west of Telford is seeking a full-time Technical Advisor. You will join the senior technical team to advise customers, specifiers and distributors on building products including insulation, render and plaster.

The role includes answering enquiries, coordinating samples, mixing and applying products, and running training and demonstrations. Ideal candidates will have plastering or wet trades experience, be fluent in English, PC literate, and hold a driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastering or wet trades (render, mortar) and ability to advise on site to customers and tradespeople.
• Strong English communication; ability to give thorough, clear answers.
• Proficient PC literacy and ability to use standard software for documentation and enquiries.
• Hold a valid driving licence to support on-site activities and client visits.

• Provide product technical advice to customers, specifiers and distributors.
• Monitor technical enquiries inbox and respond to calls promptly.
• Coordinate product enquiries and manage sample stock including mixing and application.

Technical Advisor

Our successful and expanding client based west of Telford in the Shropshire countryside is looking for a full time permanent technical advisor to join their team.

You will be working within the senior technical team to provide product technical advice to customers, specifiers, and distributors on all our innovative range of building products including, internal and external wall insulation systems, render and plaster.

In addition, regular monitoring of the technical enquiries email inbox, answering telephone calls co-ordinating product enquiries, being the first point of contact for product application related enquiries, monitoring stock of samples and replenishing when low, including mixing and application of product, supporting and leading product training days on and off site, including practical mixing and use of products, doing practical demos on and off site and providing the correct technical information to all departments and customers quickly and efficiently to maximise sales opportunities.

We also offer popular training days for installers and contractors too, so your role will encompass a hands‑on front facing involvement in running demonstrations at these, alongside our senior staff members

Ideal candidate

Will have plastering, or wet trades experience e.g. render, mortar and be looking to take their skills and knowledge from day-to-day site work to helping others achieve through advice. Your skills will be transferrable into an office based advisory role dealing with contractors and customers from homeowners to the onsite hands‑on teams and architects.
