Responsibilities include managing the technical email inbox, handling telephone queries, coordinating product applications, and overseeing sample stock levels, including mixing and applying materials. You will also support and lead training sessions. This role requires strong communication skills and technical aptitude.
The salary for this position is between £32,000 and £36,000 per annum.
Technical Advisor: Our successful and expanding client based west of Telford in the Shropshire countryside is looking for a full time permanent technical advisor to join their team. You will be working within the senior technical team to provide product technical advice to customers, specifiers, and distributors on all our innovative range of building products including, internal and external wall insulation systems, render and plaster. In addition, regular monitoring of the technical enquiries email inbox, answering telephone calls, coordinating product enquiries, being the first point of contact for product application related enquiries, monitoring stock of samples and replenishing when low, including mixing and application of product, supporting and leading product training days on and off site, including practical mixing and use of products, doing practical demos on and off site and providing the correct technical information to all departments and customers quickly and efficiently to maximise sales opportunities. We also offer popular training days for installers and contractors too, so your role will encompass a hands-on front-facing involvement in running demonstrations at these, alongside our senior staff members.
Ideal candidate: Will have plastering, or wet trades experience e.g. render, mortar and be looking to take their skills and knowledge from day-to-day site work to helping others achieve through advice. Your skills will be transferrable into an office based advisory role dealing with contractors and customers from homeowners to the onsite hands‑on teams and architects. Essential: Fluent in English, PC literate, possess a willingness to give a thorough answer, taking the time to be consistent with this. Our products are versatile and are used on a multitude of different projects ranging from historic restorations to new build estates and social housing.
Driving Licence. Hours: 37.5 per week Monday to Friday. Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum.
