Technical Account Manager – Global Cybersecurity Vendor (Up to £130k OTE)

Company Overview:

Our client is a globally recognised cybersecurity vendor specialising in data security, threat detection and risk reduction. Its platform helps organisations understand where sensitive data resides, who has access to it, and how to protect it from cyberattacks, insider threats and inappropriate access.

Working with some of the world's largest enterprises, the business helps customers strengthen their security posture, reduce data exposure and maintain greater control over their critical information. With data security becoming increasingly important as organisations adopt cloud technologies and AI, this is an opportunity to join an established security leader operating in a rapidly evolving market.

The Role:

We are looking for a technically minded, customer-focused Technical Account Manager to work closely with enterprise customers, ensuring they maximise the value of their cybersecurity investment.

Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you will take ownership of customer relationships post-sale, supporting onboarding, product adoption, ongoing optimisation and long-term customer success. You will work with a variety of stakeholders, from security and infrastructure teams through to senior leadership, helping customers identify vulnerabilities, address risks and improve their overall data security posture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the technical relationship with a portfolio of enterprise customers, acting as their primary technical point of contact.
  • Lead customer onboarding, product implementation support, training and ongoing adoption activities.
  • Proactively assess customer environments, identify security risks and recommend practical remediation strategies.
  • Conduct regular customer health checks, technical reviews and quarterly business reviews to demonstrate value and track progress.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate with internal support and engineering teams, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, cloud, compliance and senior management.
  • Partner with sales teams to identify opportunities for account growth, support renewals and ensure customers continue to realise value.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company's platform, emerging security threats and industry best practices.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience: 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role within cybersecurity, cloud security, data security or a related technology environment.
  • Technical knowledge: A strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, Windows operating systems and relevant security technologies.
  • Cloud and infrastructure: Familiarity with enterprise cloud environments, Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS or similar technologies would be advantageous.
  • Customer management: Proven ability to build trusted relationships, manage multiple accounts and drive customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate technical challenges and recommend effective solutions.
  • Communication: Confident engaging with both technical teams and senior stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
  • Commercial awareness: An understanding of customer retention, renewals and identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships.
  • Mindset: A proactive, organised and self-motivated individual who takes ownership, enjoys learning and is passionate about delivering excellent customer outcomes.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Join an established, globally recognised cybersecurity business.
  • Work with enterprise customers on complex, high-impact security challenges.
  • Develop your expertise in the fast-growing data security market.
  • Build relationships with senior security and technology stakeholders.
